Visitors can enjoy Kutchan’s summer and grand natural environment on a mountain bike, trek in the area to see local flora and fauna, play golf or park golf on a variety of courses, or try fishing in the Shiribetsu River-a habitat of the Japanese huchen (also known as the phantom fish).

Flowers and alpine plants

A variety of pretty flowers bloom during Kutchan's thawing season. A wide range of flowers and alpine plants appear in spring and summer.
